Troop Elections – June 5

Posted by tkayray on May 8, 2017 in Uncategorized with Comments closed |

The term for the current PLC is coming to a close, and that means there’s an opportunity for new Scout leadership in the Troop. Our Troop is boy-led, and all boys of appropriate rank are encouraged to seek leadership positions. Not only is your participation vital to keeping our Troop running, performing leadership duties is an important part of your Scouting experience. Leadership is also required for rank advancement.

Print the leadership application found under the heading “Form Library” above. Then bring your completed application to the next Troop meeting or email it to Mr. Halfhill. And good luck on June 5th!

20-Mile Hike – June 3

Posted by tkayray on May 1, 2017 in Uncategorized with Comments closed |

If you’re interested in the hiking Merit Badge, you’ll want to save the date. The Troop will be hiking from Tustin to Newport Beach in a single day. This hike meets the requirement for your hiking Merit Badge (one that’s really difficult to get). It’s a good idea to start practicing now with shorter length hikes to build up your stamina. If you can’t go hiking, just do lots and lots of walking. More information will follow soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact Mrs. Cheng with questions at  thechengsters@gmail.com.
