MERIT BADGES

There are over 130 Merit Badges offered through Boy Scouts of America. You can learn about everything from hiking to pet care to swimming to crafts. For more information about available Merit Badges, visit the BSA web site by clicking here.

Within the Troop, we have a number of adults serving as Merit Badge counselors (see list below). If you don't see an advisor for the MB you have picked out, talk to your Patrol Advisor or another Troop leader. They will direct you to a counselor outside of the Troop.

Remember, you need to obtain a blue card before you begin working on your Merit Badge. You can get a blue card from your Patrol Advisor, any Assistant Scout Master, or the Merit Badge Counselor.

*A note about Eagle Merit Badges: Troop 657 does not accept any Eagle Merit badges done at local Merit Badge days. Please see the information sent out in the weekly Troop email regarding this restriction. When you have completed your Merit Badge and have your Blue Card signed off, you will need to turn it in on patrol night (the second Monday of each month).

Have fun!
