On Veteran’s Day, members of our Troop gathered with Scouts from throughout the area to honor our nation’s veterans. As a sign of respect and appreciation, 3,500 American flags were placed at the grave marker of each veteran at Forest Lawn Cypress.

From the mountains to the sea, they hiked. And hiked. And hiked. These intrepid Scouts met the 20-mile Hiking Merit Badge requirement by travelling from the hills of Orange County all the way down to the sands of Newport Bay—in a single day. Whew.

Our Troop made a big push for Scouting for Food, holding a month-long donation campaign. The patrols had a friendly competition to see who could collect the most food (the Eagles won). The result was a total of 320 items that were donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.
